“BLUES TRAVELER”
2015 Fountaine Pajot
Helia 44 catamaran
Charter Version – 4 cabin layout
Freeport, Grand Bahama

USD$349,000 with brand new mast, boom, standing rigging, running rigging and LED mast lights soon to be installed in Florida; or USD$299,000 in current condition as-is where-is.

Here is your chance to own a modern Fountaine Pajot Helia 44 catamaran for a fraction of the price. With no water damage, this vessel remained upright during Hurricane Dorian, unlike most other multihulls which were overturned. It would be a great headstart for a hands on buyer in the market for a project catamaran. Plenty of value in this deal as similar model Fountaine Pajot sister ships are selling in the neighbourhood of USD$550,000.

This vessel dragged its mooring and was washed ashore during Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. Both sacrificial keels came off, but the hulls and internal bulkheads etc are all good. The keels can be repaired and then put back on again, or replaced with new ones. There is significant damage to port rear transom from impact with another boat. Some damage to the cockpit roof at the port rear corner. Also minor damage to port bow and starboard midships from another boat. Plus some other smaller cracks etc from impacts. Port side lifelines damaged, starboard lifelines are okay. Davits are good, front crossbeam good.

Both Yanmar 40HP inboard diesel engines are in good condition, with about 160 hours. This vessel does 9 knots flat out, or easily cruises at 7 knots. The steering is good, one rudder is bent but works fine.

Genoa headsail and full batten mainsail are included in good condition. A gennaker can also be included at additional cost. The vessel needs fibreglass repairs near the chainplates before a mast can be installed.

Northern Lights Generator works well, with 3800 hours. Air conditioning works, all electrical working. Electric winch for dinghy and another at the helm, plus extra winches at the back. Windlass, anchor and chain good. Electronics at helm were stolen. Fuel and water gauges work. Fusion stereo works. All cushions and mattresses are good.

This vessel runs and drives on its own engines. It can be lived on today and motored away to another location to complete the necessary repairs!

This model FP Helia 44 provides plentiful natural light, superb ventilation and lovely private suites with large windows affording outstanding views. Spacious and comfortable both inside and out, the protected cockpit is designed for luxury dining and relaxation with a generous table and bench seating for up to 10 people. Thoughtfully integrated with the lounge deck, glass doors open onto the galley to create a large and beautifully comfortable entertaining space. This vessel also offers a beautifully efficient well equipped galley with large multi-drawer refrigerator and freezer. She has standard US plugs with 110V systems, hot and cold pressure water throughout, small cockpit refrigerator, fresh water transom shower and air conditioning. It also features electric fresh water heads, electric anchor windlass, and six winches. She holds 475L (124 gal) of diesel, 750L (185 gal) of water and draws 3ft 8 inches.

OWNER IS OPEN TO ALL OFFERS AND WILL CONSIDER REASONABLE DELIVERY.

BLUES TRAVELER has just been motored on its own bottom over a 3 day passage from Abaco island to Freeport on Grand Bahama island. It is currently hauled out of the water at Bradford Marine boatyard in Freeport.
